A leading manufacturer in Mississauga seeks a Plant Manager / Fabrication Shop Foreman to oversee production and manage a team in a custom machinery manufacturing environment. The role requires extensive leadership and hands-on experience in metal fabrication under Canadian Health & Safety standards. Responsibilities include production planning, scheduling, and ensuring safety and performance management on the shop floor.

Work Schedule: 5 days a week on-site, day shift, Monday to Friday
Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom equipment for mining and similar applications. They are hiring a Plant Manager / Fabrication Shop Foreman to oversee production, material & production planning, purchasing, vendor management, shipping, and collaborate with sales and in-house engineering. This is an expansion role in the West Mississauga-Milton-Guelph area. Hands-on fabrication, machining, welding experience with 10+ years in running fabrication shops under Canadian H&S standards is essential.
Role Responsibilities: Leading the plant shop floor (CNC lathe, cutting, bending, welding), responsible for production planning, scheduling, material management, safety, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and overseeing budgets. Collaborate with plant engineering for process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile: Ideally 10+ years as a welder/welder fitter/machinist, with 10+ years as a shop foreman or plant manager, and 12-15 years of leadership experience within a Canadian H&S compliant environment. Hands-on welding (MIG, TIG) experience and leadership skills are highly preferred.
