Job summary

Aecon Concessions in Cambridge, ON is seeking a Foreperson, Substations to lead field teams on electrical projects. You will supervise site crews, enforce safety standards, coordinate materials and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining strong client relations.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in utility/powerline construction, a Journeyman Electrician credential, and a proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Travel to remote sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in utility and powerline construction.
• Journeyman Electrician with safety certification.
• Strong leadership and team-motivation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and supervise site operatives to deliver safe, on-time and on-budget work.
• Record hours and report operational issues accurately.
• Promote safe working on site and ensure compliance with method statements.
• Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks; ensure training records are up to date.
• Manage site equipment, materials and daily production documentation.
• Travel to remote locations and work at heights outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Lead by example and foster inclusive culture and teamwork.
