Job summary

CAE, a world leader in aviation training, is seeking a Simulator Technician I to join the Civil Aftermarket team in Mount Hope, Hamilton. You will perform routine maintenance on a 7000XR full flight simulator, support troubleshooting, and ensure readiness for operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes morning shifts (6:00 AM to 4:00 PM), training opportunities, and collaboration with an expert team.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Ability to interpret system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience operating test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics theory.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with PC hardware and computer architecture.
  • Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repair.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting technical issues on simulators and associated systems.
  • Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all training activities and participate in QTG procedures.
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight procedures on designated simulators.
  • Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Support logistics activities, including receipt of parts, repairs, testing, and validation.
