Job summary

CAE is seeking a CF-18 Operational Specialist (Pilot) in Mirabel, QC to provide technical, flight and operational guidance as part of software development and testing, and to act as SME for the SESC team supporting courseware production.

You will support PMV OFP, training development, and create/test plans with a strong aviation background and English communication skills. On-site work in Mirabel is required.

Qualifications

• Royal Canadian Air Force Pilot or equivalent.
• Technical experience as a fighter pilot (SME).
• Strong computer aptitude and willingness to learn new software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance and Level II NATO Secret clearance.
• Legally permitted to work in Canada.
• Willingness to work onsite in Mirabel, QC.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, flight and operational expertise during software development and testing activities.
• Act as SME for the SESC team supporting courseware production.
• Support CF‑18 PMV OFP and training development in Mirabel.
• Develop and review software change requirements with the customer.
• Create and maintain test plans and verification procedures.
• Perform operational testing on avionics benches, simulators, and aircraft; document anomalies.
• Develop training solutions for avionic systems and storyboard content.
• Collaborate with marketing for bid inputs and proposals.
