Job summary

Fisher Wavy Inc. in Sudbury, Ontario seeks a dependable Shop Supervisor to lead shop operations in a safety-focused environment. You will work with the Shop Manager to organize workflow, coordinate maintenance, and ensure high standards of safety and performance.

The role targets a certified 310T technician with leadership skills who excels in organization and communication, enabling efficient daily operations and strong teamwork in a unionized setting.

Qualifications

• Certified 310T technician with leadership experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a 310T mechanic.
• At least one year in a supervisory/management role, including union environments.
• Valid G Class Driver’s License and strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shop Manager with workload delegation and prioritization for mechanics and shop staff.
• Safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Oversee repairs on trucks, trailers, and power-operated equipment and coordinate maintenance.
• Serve as communication link between shop personnel and project managers.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate parts orders; maintain accurate time and parts records.
