Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation is seeking a Lead Server to provide leadership to the food service team and deliver an exciting fan experience at live events. You will oversee staff, maintain high service levels, and ensure safety and adherence to policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in Food & Beverage, with bonus points for Banquets or Conventions experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year experience in Food & Beverage.
• Experience in Banquets or Conventions is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

THE POSITION

The Lead Server is responsible for providing leadership to our food service team to deliver an exciting fan experience in a service-focused environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Communication with Food Service Team to include all details pertaining to specific events, ongoing changes to general routine and/or procedures;

• Exhibits a ‘hands on’ approach to the supervision of the department;
• Communicate and enforce all company policies;
• Ensure a safe environment for both guests and employees through regular maintenance of the assigned areas;
• Supervise the execution of elevated Food and Beverage Services Fan experience;
• Ensure the implementation of nightly and month end inventory reconciliation is adhered to
• Adherence to CSEC Core Values

• Actively participate in safety programs and follow policies;
• Other duties as required.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

• Minimum 1-year experience in a similar function in Food & Beverage, preferably Banquets or Conventions;
• Bartending experience is an asset;
• Self-motivated, with the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high service levels under pressure;
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Positive outlook and outgoing personality;
• Schedule flexibility to work ‘event hours’ based on business needs including evenings, weekends and holidays.
