Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking an Assistant Shift Security Supervisor in Calgary, Alberta. You will lead a team of guards, coordinate daily operations, and ensure top-notch security and customer service for tenants and clients.

You report to the Shift Supervisor and Site Supervisor and work across shifts in a dynamic environment. The role requires 1–3 years in security and team management, Alberta security licensing, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid Alberta security license.
• Able to work 4/4 12 hour rotational shift (2 days/2 nights).
• Excellent leadership skills.
• 1–3 years of security and team management experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills both oral and written.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to follow operational security measures and protect confidential information.
• Strong customer service skills, mature attitude and professionalism.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of on-site security guards.
• Review all submitted team incident reports for quality assurance.
• Liaise with client, contractors, tenants, emergency services.
• Review and export CCTV footage using digital CCTV systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to various tenants.
• Provide first aid and basic life safety in an emergency situation.
• Must be able to cover a guards shift on an as needed basis.
• Coordinate day to day operations to the shift supervisor.
• Complete daily reports and incident reports.
• All other related duties.
