Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Security Engineer to spearhead security initiatives from its Kimberley offices. This senior role designs, implements, and manages security solutions across the organization's infrastructure and leads a team of security engineers, mentoring junior staff.

You will shape the security architecture and strategy, collaborate with IT operations and development, respond to incidents with advanced analysis, and drive security excellence in a dynamic Kimberley

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in security engineering and architecture.
• Deep knowledge of network, cloud, and systems security.
• Experience with scripting and automation for security tasks.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or GIAC are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of enterprise security solutions.
• Oversee security technologies: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, endpoint protection.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the security team.
• Create and maintain security infra documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT operations and development to embed security across the infrastructure lifecycle.
