Job summary

WSP Canada is seeking a Mining Technical Lead to drive the technical delivery of major mining projects across Canada. You will mentor engineers, shape project execution from concept through construction, and expand WSP’s mining market presence with senior leadership and client collaboration.

The role requires deep experience in mining, geotechnical or civil engineering, and a P.Eng. designation in British Columbia or eligibility to obtain it.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in mining, geotechnical, civil engineering or construction, with 5+ years in mining projects.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery of complex mining projects.
• Strong understanding of mine closure, stability, tailings and water management.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of complex mining projects ensuring safe, innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Plan and drive construction project execution from concept to completion.
• Provide SME on construction methodologies across project environments.
