Location

The position will be based on our project in Darlington, ON. The successful candidate will be local to Darlington, Oshawaor surrounding areas, or willing to relocate.

Qualifications
  • Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of planners, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and develop robust mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level project reports and presentations to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Utilize advanced project management software and tools to monitor and report on project performance.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across all project teams.
Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning within the heavy industrial sector, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on site in a project coordination role or higher within the heavy industrial or nuclear sector.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • In-depth understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
