Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related field
  • Proven track record of high-impact research including publications or patents
  • Experience in chemical process development, scale-up, and optimization
  • Hands-on experience establishing and operating pilot facilities
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting commercialization activities and technical sales
  • Data science techniques including statistical analysis and modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across multidisciplinary teams
  • Results-oriented mindset toward practical application and commercialization
  • Experience mentoring junior researchers or staff

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary research team through all stages of project development from idea conception to commercialization
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to develop new product formulations and scale processes
  • Employ data science techniques to enhance outcomes and improve process efficiencies
  • Investigate structure-property relationships in polymers to meet performance criteria
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain open communication to address challenges
  • Author and review technical documents including patents, reports, and publications
  • Drive innovation in material processing using experimental and modeling approaches
