Job summary

DSV Road GmbH in Saint-Laurent, Quebec is seeking a Team Lead for Ocean Import to oversee shipments and route monitoring. You will mentor staff, ensure adherence to regulations, and coordinate with customers, overseas offices, and carriers. Strong leadership and problem solving are essential.

Responsibilities include daily management of shipments, KPI-driven process improvement, and cost containment. Bilingual English/French is a plus; CIFFA and Dangerous Goods certifications are assets.

Qualifications

• Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or related field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a freight forwarding environment.
• CIFFA certificate is an asset.
• Dangerous Goods certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily processing and coordination of all shipments.
• Direct desk-level, day-to-day operations of the Operations Department.
• Champion processes to meet or exceed KPI requirements.
• Coordinate schedules with carriers and tender shipments.
• Prepare and publish reports as requested.
• Mentor and train new staff as needed.
• Identify problems and implement timely solutions.
• Control shipment costs and evaluate delivery options.
• Communicate with customers on relevant issues and resolutions.
• Manage new account implementations from SOP to execution.
