Job summary

Fort McKay Group seeks a Team Lead for the safe, efficient maintenance of heavy mining equipment. Under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent(s), you will coordinate daily work activities, guide technicians, and ensure maintenance tasks meet operational requirements on the shop floor.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety and quality, works with HSE to uphold site standards, and supports planning, inspections, and urgent repairs to keep equipment available and compliant.

Responsibilities

• Provide contractor management by monitoring and directing work to sub-contractors on mining equipment repairs.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure staff are competent, fit for duty, and properly trained.
• Support daily maintenance planning and scheduling, prioritizing inspections, diagnostics, planned repairs, and urgent breakdowns.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and ensure equipment is used per design specifications and procedures.
• Work with the Maintenance Superintendent to manage employee relations while maintaining confidentiality.
