Fort McKay Group is seeking a Team Leader for the Syncrude Basemine, north of Fort McMurray, AB. Under the Shift Supervisor, you will oversee up to 15 operators and labourers, drive daily production targets, and uphold safety standards.

This safety-sensitive role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of supervisory experience in mining or heavy industrial settings, with relevant certifications. The schedule is 6 on, 6 off; note that flight and camp accommodation are not provided.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial/mining setting.
• Experience in Oilsands/Mines preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Valid CSO/BSO or CSTS/OSSA certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean 3-year abstract.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and direct up to 15 equipment operators and labourers.
• Meet or exceed daily shift/production targets from plans.
• Coordinate staff competency, training, and fitness for duty.
• Ensure tasks follow design specifications and procedures.
• Manage employee relations with discretion and confidentiality.
• Implement new or revised policies as assigned.
• Identify hazards, inspect work areas, and uphold safe working procedures.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of activities.
