FeedMax, a division of Paterson GlobalFoods, seeks a Lead Mill Operator in Winnipeg, MB to supervise milling staff and operate all milling equipment producing grain-based animal feed.

The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires coaching, training, safety adherence, minor maintenance, and accurate documentation to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualificações

• 3-5 years of Milling experience.
• Ability to lead staff and develop good working relationships.
• Must be able to work shift work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25KG.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Able to work in a processing environment (steam processing, heights, no dust allergies).
• Feed Processing background.
• Able to complete respirator fit testing.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsabilidades

We are currently seeking a reliable, hard-working individual to fill the role of Lead Mill Operator at our FeedMax facility in Winnipeg, MB. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position will provide excellence in coaching, communication, and direction to milling staff. As a Lead Miller, you will be responsible for operating all milling equipment in the production of grain-based animal feed.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the shift team and operates all milling manufacturing systems including mixing, grinding and pelleting.
• Ensures the shift is adhering to all safety regulations and that any non-compliances are corrected and documented.
• Oversee the milling operations and make appropriate adjustments to meet product specifications and operational performance targets.
• Coaches and trains milling staff to solve problems and promotes an inclusive culture that seeks continuous improvements.
• Participate in daily shift change meetings.
• Become proficient in the operation of all computer equipment to efficiently operate the equipment necessary to grind, batch, mix condition, pellet, crumble and load out feed products.
• Develop a thorough working knowledge of the equipment operated to be able to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Make equipment adjustments and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Responsible for obtaining necessary finished feed samples to maintain quality of feed loaded.
• Test products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Complete documentation in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Operates in accordance with all food safety requirements and assists with program initiatives.
• Participate in all relevant in-house training.
• Maintain cleaning standards in all areas of the mill.
• Participate in a respectful work environment where employees can bring forward not only ideas and improvements but concerns of all nature, including safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
