Job summary

Carewest in Calgary is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to perform complex repairs and preventive maintenance on boilers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and other equipment. You will monitor and manage boiler and cooling systems, with leadership responsibilities when needed.

The role requires 3–5 years in large building maintenance, a 5th class Power Engineer Certificate or equivalent, and a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5th class Power Engineer Certificate or combination of A or B with Special Boiler Operator's Certificate.
• Applicants must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in large building and equipment maintenance, including boiler operations.
• Basic computer skills are required for daily use of the AHS e-Facilities system.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair duties on complex mechanical equipment and systems.
• Check, test, install, repair and maintain boilers, cooling systems, and non-biomedical equipment.
• Keep logs and records; implement preventative maintenance program; lead when required.
