Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in Alberta is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance at our site. You will perform inspections and readings on boilers and air handling systems, ensuring safe, reliable building operations and comfort for residents.

Responsibilities include planning and organizing varied duties, using hand and power tools, and collaborating with staff. Prior experience in commercial or institutional settings and a care-focused attitude are preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Building Operators B certificate or equivalent (new 5th class power engineering certificate, AB).
• One year experience in a commercial or institutional setting is required; elderly care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance duties at the site.
• Conduct daily inspections and readings of boilers and air handling systems (pressures, temperatures, air flows, liquid levels).
• Complete additional related duties as assigned within scope.
