Job summary

CPKC invites applications for a Supervisor, Maintenance, to lead planning, scheduling and resource assignment for locomotive and vehicle servicing, ensuring safety and compliance. You will coordinate with multiple teams to maintain high standards while meeting regulatory requirements across the network.

You will mentor unionized staff, drive key performance metrics, and collaborate with partners to align with the Local Service Operating Plan and overall Operating Plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 2 years’ supervisory experience in logistics or an operational environment preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays in all weather.
• Ability to identify root causes and resolve complex issues.
• Attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Read and understand safety instructions in English.
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a unionized team for maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs of locomotives and vehicles.
• Ensure repairs and train servicing meet AAR, Transport Canada and CPKC standards.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to improve operating plan compliance.
• Drive accountability for safety, service, productivity and financial results.
• Enforce safety standards and lead proactive safety discussions at the terminal.
• Conduct shift briefings for accurate documentation and smooth handoffs.
• Mentor team members through observation and feedback.
