Job summary

CPKC's Engineering team in Canada is seeking a Supervisor Track Inspection to uphold track safety, reliability, and integrity across the railway network. This role requires leadership to coordinate inspections, drive corrective actions, and support 24/7 operations.

You will oversee inspections, maintain records, and direct maintenance aligned with renewal plans while setting daily priorities and providing on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory compliance to safety practices, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct track inspections at required intervals, compile accurate records, and address exceptions through timely corrective actions, mitigating safety risks and ensuring operational reliability.
• Maintain proper records of the inspections; notes and tracks corrective actions for exceptions.
• Direct maintenance activities aligned with selective renewal plans for various track components, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of track infrastructure.
• Set work priorities and objectives daily and makes recommendations to the Roadmaster.
• Provide on-call support and emergency response on a rotating cycle to support 24/7 operations.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As a valued member of CPKC's Engineering team, the Supervisor Track Inspection plays an essential role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and integrity of the track infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards to support seamless and efficient train operations. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, effective leadership, and a proactive approach to maintaining infrastructure performance, addressing potential risks, and contributing to the overall success of CPKC's rail network.
