Arc’teryx in North Vancouver, BC, seeks a Lead, Knits, Wovens and Hardgoods to guide a specialist team through testing and validation of technical sets, ensuring designs meet standards and downstream requirements.

You will lead by example, coach engineers and product developers, and collaborate with designers, product teams and suppliers to realize durable, high-performance gear from concept to market.

Formación

• 8+ years in product development with emphasis on technical/innovative apparel or equipment.
• 2+ years at a senior/expert level.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent training.
• Understanding of full product lifecycle from ideation to consumer.
• Strong knowledge of design intent, construction, and fit.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership with coaching/mentoring ability.
• Extensive knowledge of raw materials, construction, and sourcing.
• Experience communicating with domestic/offshore vendors and manufacturers.
• Experience in product costing and negotiation.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coach a team of technical Experts, Engineers and Developers.
• Own documentation of testing/validation methods and results.
• Identify regulatory impacts with Compliance on constructions.
• Determine testing needs with Compliance and engineering.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication for smooth downstream handoff.
• Ensure constructions meet Arc’teryx standards with Product Integrity.
• Coordinate timelines with Product Operations and manage workloads.
• Report metrics to Proof-of-Concept leadership.
• Produce technical drawings and maintain libraries for constructions.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness of testing and validation of materials.
