Job summary

ARC’TERYX is seeking a Lab and Workshop Technical Lead in North Vancouver to oversee the Mountain Athlete Lab, Materials Lab, and Workshop. You will lead operations, optimize facilities, and enable rapid prototyping and testing for high‑performance gear.

This hands‑on role requires coordinating equipment, training, and safety compliance across multiple labs and partners. You will partner with Advanced Concepts and Product Creation to set strategy, manage schedules, and mentor staff, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or a relevant science discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a lab or workshop environment, leading technical workflows or environments.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and troubleshooting common athlete science and machine shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for operation of Mountain Athlete Lab, Materials Lab, and Workshop, including equipment management.
• Ensure teams have tools, environments, and capabilities to deliver breakthrough products.
• Define strategy and deliver execution for creation and testing environments in collaboration with leadership.
• Manage lab/workshop equipment through procurement, installation, training, calibration, and maintenance.
• Support Advanced Concepts projects through fabrication, rapid prototyping, machine operation, and test setup.
