Job summary
Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation Superintendent to lead the instrumentation and control scopes on complex industrial projects across Western Canada.
This site-based role reports to the Construction Manager and requires ensuring safety, schedule, and quality across multi-disciplinary teams. You will lead installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems, coordinate subcontractors, and mentor journeypersons and apprentices, contributing
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of industrial construction experience focused on instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience in a supervisory or superintendent role overseeing instrumentation or I&C scopes.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Participate in bid reviews to validate constructability and scope requirements.
- Lead field execution of instrumentation and control scopes including installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of field devices, transmitters, controls, and associated systems.
- Coordinate troubleshooting of instrumentation, PLC, DCS, and control systems.
- Develop and manage construction schedules aligning labour and materials with project needs.
- Interface with clients to provide progress updates and resolve field issues.
