Job summary

Seymour Pacific Developments is seeking a Lead Hand for our residential wood-frame projects in Calgary, Alberta. You will proactively delegate tasks, supervise labourers, and help maintain a safe, efficient work site on a fast-paced construction schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating crew members, loading and unloading materials, operating hand and power tools, and ensuring safety standards. A strong leader with physical stamina is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading labourers or crews.
• Previous experience in a related position.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willing to work long hours in a fast-paced, physical environment.

• Clean, lubricate, and refill tanks as instructed.
• Practice work place safety at all times.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Taking the lead on specific labourer related tasks to ensure an efficient workflow
• Load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials

• Operate hand and power tools
• Clean up rubble and debris on a regular basis to ensure a safe and well maintained construction site

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to lead labourers, as well as follow direction as required
• Previous experience in a related position
• Willing and able to easily follow direction
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Willing and able to work long hours in a fast-pace, physical environment
