Rush Truck Centres of Canada is seeking a Lead Hand Licensed Diesel Mechanic for our Markham dealership at 8240 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON. This full-time position is for our afternoon shift and reports to the Service Manager.

You will provide both technical and administrative support, spot-check repairs for quality, and review work orders for accuracy to ensure timely completion. Experience with heavy trucks and diesel engines is required; SAP experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T) certificate or license.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude.
• Quality driven with safety awareness.
• AZ/DZ license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OHSA compliance and follow safety policy.
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Document work performed and review for accuracy.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Inspect guards, bolts and safety devices and adjust as needed.
• Attend training and keep up with factory bulletins.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Lead Hand Licensed Diesel Mechanics, for our Markham dealership located at 8240 Woodbine Ave, Markham, ON. This is a full-time permanent position for our afternoon shift.

As Lead Hand Technician, reporting to the Service Manager your main responsibilities will be providing both technical and administrative support, spot-checking repairs to assure quality and timely completion, and reviewing work orders for accuracy. We are looking to fill our afternoon shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
• Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Document work performed.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments as needed.
• Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties may be assigned.

Basic Qualifications
