Dexterra Group in Nova Scotia is hiring a Lead Hand to perform a full range of janitorial and custodial duties in a busy shopping mall environment. This hands-on role requires physical tasks and a working knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.

You will work with a dedicated team to maintain clean, safe premises, handle chemicals properly, dispose of hazardous materials, and support contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of proper use of a wide range of chemicals according to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of janitorial and custodial tasks.
• Mop, clean walls, and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with semi-skilled and skilled duties in other trades.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow chemical handling regulations and safety rules.
