Qualifications

• Strong experience with heavy-duty or mining equipment maintenance.
• Previous leadership/ supervisory experience is a strong asset.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to coordinate priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Job Description

ACE Services Mécaniques is looking for an experienced Mechanical Team Lead to join our team at the Greenstone Mine in Ontario.

As a key resource on site, the Team Lead coordinates daily mechanical activities, supports the mechanics on shift and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently and according to operational priorities.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced heavy-duty mechanic ready to take on additional leadership responsibilities while remaining actively involved in field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Coordination

• Coordinate and assign daily work to team members
• Monitor priorities and work progress throughout the shift
• Provide technical support to mechanics during complex diagnostics and repairs
• Maintain effective communication between the mechanical team, supervision and site operations
• Ensure a clear and structured handover between shifts

Technical Support

• Assist with diagnostics, maintenance and repairs when required
• Ensure work is completed according to quality standards
• Identify mechanical issues that could impact equipment availability or operations
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues

Health and Safety

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures
• Promote safe work practices within the team
• Identify potential hazards and take appropriate corrective action
• Contribute to a strong safety culture on site

Job Requirements

• Strong experience in heavy-duty or mining equipment maintenance
• Previous experience as a Team Lead, Lead Hand or Supervisor is a strong asset
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience working in a mining or heavy industrial environment
• Ability to coordinate priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and team communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
