Job summary

ACE Services Mécaniques is seeking an experienced Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to join the Greenstone Mine team near Geraldton, Ontario. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of heavy mining equipment, working closely with the site maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and availability.

The successful candidates will operate on a FIFO 14/14 schedule with rotating day and night shifts, with camp accommodations, flights to Thunder Bay, meals on site, and

Qualifications

• Valid Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with heavy equipment.
• Experience in mining, construction or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with CAT ET, SIS or similar diagnostic software is an asset.
• Ability to work FIFO 14/14 schedule with rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy mining equipment.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures and complete required repairs.

Job Description

ACE Services Mécaniques is looking for experienced Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team at the Greenstone Mine near Geraldton, Ontario.

The successful candidates will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of heavy mining equipment while working closely with the site maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and availability.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance and Repairs

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy mining equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and complete required repairs
• Perform inspections and identify potential equipment issues
• Complete repairs according to established safety and maintenance standards

Equipment and Diagnostics

• Work on surface mining equipment including Pit Viper PV 235 drills, Caterpillar 793/992, Komatsu PC 5500 and P&H-type equipment
• Use diagnostic tools such as CAT ET, SIS or equivalent
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and equipment documentation
• Document completed work and required follow-ups

• Follow all site health and safety procedures
• Perform work in accordance with ACE and client standards
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
• Actively contribute to a strong safety culture on site

Job Requirements

• Strong experience in mining, construction or heavy industrial environments
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Experience with large surface mining equipment considered a strong asset
• Experience with CAT ET, SIS or similar diagnostic software considered an asset
• Ability to work a FIFO 14/14 schedule with rotating day and night shifts
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
