Job summary

Bentley Systems seeks a Lead Senior Developer in Quebec to guide a cross-functional squad building modern web applications and cloud-native solutions. You will own delivery, architecture, and code quality across frontend and backend, collaborating with product, security, and operations teams.

The role is hybrid, offering hands-on leadership and opportunities to shape engineering practices, platform standards, and delivery culture within Bentley’s global software organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading software teams delivering complex products.
• Strong software architecture and system design skills.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience with Agile software delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the squad's technical direction, architecture, design decisions, and engineering standards.
• Build scalable front-end using React/TypeScript and back-end with C# ASP.NET Core, focusing on maintainability and performance.
• Review solutions, mentor engineers, and promote scalable, reliable system design.
• Drive best practices in software development, testing, automation, observability, security and governance.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews to meet objectives.
• Coordinate with other squads, product teams, and stakeholders to enable cross-team delivery.
