Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a First Cook for Playtime Casino to showcase refined culinary skills in a fast-paced kitchen. This full-time role offers a competitive wage and a comprehensive benefits package within a major national company.

The position requires 2–5 years of cooking experience, relevant culinary education or certification, and a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. Night shifts, weekends, and event coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Two to five years in a cook position or extensive culinary experience.
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.
• Solid understanding of meat, starch, sauces, soups and food safety preparation.
• Ability to lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work flexible hours and special events.
