Job summary

Gateway Casinos is seeking a First Cook for our kitchen. This part-time role offers opportunities to mentor peers and contribute to a high-energy, guest-focused dining team.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years cooking experience, relevant culinary certifications, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Two to five years in a cook position or extensive culinary experience.
• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent education.
• Red Seal or equivalent certification is an asset.
• Foodsafe Certificate is an asset.
• Solid understanding of meat, starch, sauces, soups and food safety preparation.
• Ability to lift items weighted similar to a crate of potatoes and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work flexible hours and special events.
