Job summary

Integrated Power Services seeks a Lead Field Service Technician to lead field projects, troubleshoot and repair motors, VFDs, and PLCs, and deliver unmatched service to customers across North America. This hands-on role requires strong electrical and mechanical know-how and the ability to guide junior technicians in the field.

You will perform vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, and electrical tests, safely field-install and align components, and prepare clear technical reports.

Qualifications

• PdMA testing experience preferred.
• Level I Vibration Analysis preferred.
• 4+ years of AC/DC motor experience preferred.
• Laser shaft alignment experience preferred.
• PLC, instrumentation, controls experience preferred.
• 480V–4160V VFD troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution.
• Fast-paced environment adaptability and adherence to procedures.
• Strong customer focus with professional communication.
• Available for flexible hours, overtime, and weekends; on-call readiness.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel locally and overnight.

Responsibilities

• Lead jobs and other service technicians in the field.
• Represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
• Assist with developing proposals, performing job walks, and defining work scope.
• Mentor and train team members in advanced electrical skills and maintenance practices.
• Complete field service safety checklists on every job to identify hazards.
• Perform electrical tests using Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO.
• Install/remove motors, laser alignment, and precision measuring tools; torque to specs.
• Maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate scope changes and actions taken.
