Job summary

Rising Edge Group, an electrical contracting firm, is seeking a Lead Estimator – Electrical Engineering to drive complete engineering proposals for HV, renewable, and utility projects. You will evaluate RFPs, develop detailed cost estimates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver competitive submissions.

The role emphasizes value engineering, structured hand-offs, and proactive risk assessment throughout the proposal lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; Journeyperson Electrician considered a strong asset.
• Experience with electrical estimating for HV, renewables, and utility projects is desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed EPC cost estimates for transmission, distribution, substation, generation, and industrial electrical projects.
• Lead the development of complete proposal submissions ensuring client requirements and internal standards are met.
• Collaborate with preconstruction teams to develop scope, pricing, execution plans, and schedules.
• Coordinate site visits to gather field data and assess constructability.
• Support bid reviews, hand-offs to project management, and change order preparation.
