Based in one of our Ontario offices – ideally in Northern Ontario or Greater Toronto Area – you will lead as a senior subject matter expert in the electrical design for both new construction and brownfield mining, metals, and other heavy industrial projects.

Your Impact
  • Lead and exhibit senior level technical expertise in designing electrical power distribution and control systems that support safe, reliable industrial operations.
  • Apply technical expertise to hazardous classification environments including flammable gases and combustible dusts.
  • Lead and conduct power system studies—load flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash analysis—using tools such as ETAP or EasyPower.
  • Prepare specifications and data sheets for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and associated equipment.
  • Deliver electrical systems design across power distribution, motor control, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and more.
  • Incorporate regulatory compliance, safety considerations, and risk analysis into every stage of design.
  • Oversee engineering calculations and verify design accuracy through field reviews and site evaluations.
  • Lead and coordinate design activities across disciplines and offices to support seamless project execution.
  • Build relationships with clients, respond to technical inquiries, and provide expert guidance.
  • Mentor junior staff and help grow the next generation of electrical engineering talent.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • At least 18+ years of electrical engineering design experience supporting heavy industrial facilities, specifically in mining, metals, and heavy industry.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario; additional jurisdictions considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of CSA, ANSI, IEEE, building codes, and other relevant standards.
  • Proficiency in power system modelling tools and familiarity with instrumentation, automation, and control systems.
  • Experience leading and mentoring other electrical engineers.
  • Ability to execute project work across power distribution, grounding, heat tracing, fire alarms, cathodic protection, and related systems.
  • Experience working in industrial environments such as mines, mills, refineries, ports, or material‑handling facilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to attend industrial sites in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work within multidiscipline project teams.
