WSP is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer in Ontario to shape the electrical power systems for mining and heavy industrial projects. You will act as a senior expert from concept through commissioning, guiding design across power distribution, motor control, grounding and protection, while ensuring safety and compliance.
The role requires 18+ years of industry experience, a P.Eng. in Ontario, and the ability to lead teams across disciplines on site at Ontario offices.
WSP’s Resources subsector, part of our Energy, Resources & Industry business line, supports mining and heavy industrial clients across Canada. Our teams deliver engineering and project execution excellence across the full project lifecycle—from conceptual studies and detailed design to commissioning, optimization, and beyond.
In this role, you will lead and shape the electrical power systems that drive Canada’s mining, metals and industrial sectors. Based in one of our Ontario offices—ideally in Northern Ontario or Greater Toronto Area—as the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a senior subject matter expert in the electrical design for both new construction and brownfield mining, metals, and other heavy industrial projects, influencing project outcomes from concept through completion. Your work will help our clients operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $122,100 - $162,200
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
