Job summary

Active Start Child Care in Calgary's Sage Hill NW seeks a Lead Educator for our Preschool program. You will implement engaging activities, support children's development, and lead a classroom with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Alberta Child Care certification levels 2 or 3, current criminal record check (vulnerable sector) and First Aid are required. You will partner with families, maintain high safety and cleanliness standards, and ensure compliance with Alberta Early Learning

About The Role

We are Seeking a Lead Educator for our Preschool program at our Calgary Sage Hill (NW) location who possess a strong understanding of child development, exceptional engagement skills, and a dedication to fostering positive relationships with both children and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, fluent in English, and exhibit outstanding communication and multitasking abilities. This individual must have strong leadership and classroom management skills. Prior experience is required, and candidates must possess Alberta Child Care certification levels 2, or 3, along with current criminal record check (with vulnerable sector search) and first aid certification.

Qualifications

• Prior childcare/daycare experience is required (Preferably Preschool experience)


• Level 2 or 3 Child Care Certification (or equivalent)


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities


• Professional, adaptable, and fluent in English


• Proficiency in computer applications and administrative systems


• Knowledge of Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations (preferred)


• Current Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certification
