Job summary

Executive Millwork Inc. in Calgary invites a Drafting Manager to lead our drafting team and ensure shop drawings are delivered on time and correctly the first time. This hands-on role requires 80–90% drafting work, with responsibility to mentor six drafters and coordinate with external partners.

You’ll influence drafting standards and workflows to improve handoffs to CNC and shop floor. You will partner with project managers, shop foreman and purchasing to shape drafting processes and ensure

Qualifications

Two-year Architectural Technology diploma or equivalent.
Millwork drafting experience in a manufacturing shop with strong detailing understanding.
Strong AutoCAD skills; Microvellum experience is a plus.
Experience leading or mentoring drafters or willingness to step into a lead role.

Responsibilities

Produce and oversee millwork shop drawings in AutoCAD and Microvellum from IFC drawings.
Review and approve shop drawings, CNC programs and work orders before shop.
Assign work, set priorities and check in with drafters and external partners regularly.
Be the go-to person for constructability, machining and fabrication questions.
