Role Importance:

As Lead Developer, you will guide a cross-functional team, oversee development projects, ensure standards, and mentor team members. Your technical expertise will drive the development and maintenance of back-end and front-end applications, supporting CBC/Radio-Canada’s digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review and assess project needs and requirements.
2. Coordinate and support the team’s technical work.
3. Lead development efforts, including planning and go-live of applications.
4. Train, support, and mentor team members.
5. Participate in code reviews and ensure quality standards.

Qualifications:

1. Experience managing a development team.
2. Extensive experience with back-end and front-end development.
3. Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, React/Redux/Saga, NodeJS, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Azure, GraphQL.
4. Knowledge of digital advertising (Google Ads) and web accessibility standards.
5. Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts.
6. Fluent in French and working knowledge of English.
