Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Cost Controller to lead cost controls on our infrastructure projects in Whitby, Ontario. You will establish budgets, monitor productivity, and provide timely financial updates to support decision making.

In this site-based role you will implement Earned Value management, track CPI/SPI, oversee subcontractor claims, guide a cost controls team, and collaborate with project managers to align cost and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Project Controls for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven expertise in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule integration for complex, multi-phase projects.
• Experience with CMAR/Alliance/Target Price delivery models.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and project management/financial systems such as Primavera P6 and ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor project budgets, track productivity, and conduct financial updates as required.
• Facilitate and participate in project audits.
• Oversee analysis and reporting of project performance metrics (CPI, SPI, key commodity tracking); propose corrective actions to maintain performance.
• Implement & maintain an Earned Value Management plan to measure project performance, variances, and forecasting.
• Provide support to Commercial & Procurement teams on subcontractor claims assessment and claims development.
• Lead a team of Cost Controls staff specializing in cost control and change management.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to align objectives.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports highlighting progress, cost, and schedule.
