Job summary

Ledcor is recruiting a Cost Controller for its infrastructure division in Ontario, with base operations in Whitby and posting in Oshawa. The role reports to the Project Controls Manager and leads budgeting, forecasting, risk management and earned value reporting for large infrastructure projects.

The candidate should have 8+ years in project controls, a related engineering/Construction Management degree, and experience with alliance or target price delivery models.

The holder reports to the Project Controls Manager and leads a team responsible for project budgeting, forecasting, risk management and earned value reporting. Claims work is named twice.

The holder supports the commercial and procurement teams on subcontractor claims assessment and claims development, and supports the management of change, including change orders, directives and claims.

The cost duties are the establishment and monitoring of project budgets, productivity tracking and financial updates, the analysis and reporting of performance metrics such as cost and schedule performance indices, and proposals for corrective action with early warning of adverse trends.

The holder implements and maintains an earned value management plan, develops the project cost controls plan and its procedures, and maintains a risk management plan with its mitigation measures. Cost and schedule data are aligned with the schedulers for earned value analysis.
