Job summary

AgeCare Cariboo Place in Williams Lake, BC, is seeking a Cook for our long-term care residence. You will prepare meals, ensure timely service and maintain safe, sanitary work areas.

The role requires prior cook experience, preferably with supervisory duties, a current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate, and a high school diploma or equivalent. A diploma/certificate in quality food preparation is preferred. This casual position offers a wage of $29.72 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Cook, preferably with supervisory duties.
• Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• High school education or higher; Diploma/certificate in quality food preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks special diet orders for new admissions to ensure correctness.
• Responds to resident or family concerns and escalates as needed within decision-making authority.
• Directs Food Services Workers and oversees operations of the Food Services Department.
