Job summary

AgeCare in Canada is seeking a Cook for our long-term care residence. You will prepare and serve meals on time and maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen environment to protect residents’ health.

You should have supervisory cook experience, a current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate, and a diploma or certificate in quality food preparation and production; a public-school education is required, with a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory cook experience.
• Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals on schedule while maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen.
• Check dietary orders for new admissions and adjust meals accordingly.
• Direct Food Services Workers and oversee daily operations of the Food Services Department.
