Job summary

AgeCare Ltd. seeks a Cook for the Generations Toronto long-term care residence. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring timely service and maintaining sanitary work areas within a not-for-profit community campus.

You should have prior cook experience (supervisory preferred), a Safe Food Handling Certificate, and appropriate education certificates. The role offers competitive pay and benefits in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Cook, preferably in supervisory capacity.
• Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• A minimum of public-school education.
• High school education preferred.
• Diploma/certificate or equivalent in quality food preparation and production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals on time and maintain sanitary work areas.
• Respond to resident or family concerns and take appropriate action.
• Direct Food Services Workers in their duties and monitor department operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
