AgeCare, in Ontario, is seeking a Cook for a Long-Term Care residence to prepare and serve meals on schedule while keeping the kitchen sanitary and safe. You will supervise Food Services Workers and ensure the department runs smoothly.

You will check special diet orders for new admissions, respond to resident or family concerns within your authority, and maintain compliance with provincial food-safety standards.

Formación

• Must have a diploma/certificate or equivalent in quality food preparation and production.
• Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• Prior experience as a Cook preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• High school education preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas.
• Direct Food Services Workers in daily duties and supervise the Food Services Department as required.
• Respond to resident or family concerns within decision-making authority.
