Job summary

Panorama Mountain Resort is seeking a First Cook to lead line cooks across all stations, reporting to the Chef De Partie. You will ensure dishes meet Panorama’s high standards, supervise day-to-day kitchen operations, and contribute to a positive, efficient kitchen environment.

The role requires strong hot cooking skills, a focus on quality, and the ability to work in a high-volume resort setting with safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading others in the kitchen.
• 3+ years progressive experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Experience working the stations of a multi-outlet operation.
• Some knowledge of catering/conventions operation.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strong skills in hot cooking, sauces, soups, etc.
• Coordinate final stages of food preparation to ensure top quality.
• Work across all stations in the resort kitchens.
• Lead other cooks by example.
• Push personal skills forward continuously.
• Assess food preparation requirements.
• Build strong teams and instill passion for the business.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, including cleaning and safe storage.
• Assist outlet chefs in planning menus, costing and portioning.
• Conduct inventory counts and monitor food levels and supply needs.
• Make recommendations on food and supply needs and place orders.
