Job summary

The Crimson Group is seeking a Combustion Technician to join our field operations. This role is fly-in/fly-out in West Texas, requiring hands-on tuning of ND burners, troubleshooting complex combustion issues, and optimizing system performance to ensure safe, reliable operation for customers.

You will lead BMS installations, assist with commissioning, and mentor junior technicians. You’ll work with customers and internal teams to define equipment and project requirements, traveling as needed to

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency as a Combustion Technician.
• Advanced understanding of ND burner operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to independently tune ND burners.
• Strong understanding of BMS operation and related components.
• Working knowledge of FD burners and controls.
• Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Independently tune ND burners to achieve safe, reliable, and optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex burner and combustion issues.
• Evaluate burner performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and operation.
• Apply advanced knowledge of ND burner operation, combustion principles, and related components.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of forced draft (FD) burners and associated controls.
• Evaluate customer sites and equipment to identify combustion system requirements.
• Lead standard BMS installation activities and coordinate installation work as required.
• Assist with startup, commissioning, testing, and optimization of combustion systems.
• Travel to customer locations and respond to service requirements as needed.
