Job summary

Vista Projects in Calgary is seeking a Lead Civil and Structural Engineer to guide a multi-discipline design team through all phases of energy sector projects, from inception to completion. You will establish scopes, schedules and man-hour estimates, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with Vista QMS while mentoring engineers, coordinating with clients, vendors and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ten-plus years of progressive experience in facilities engineering and design in the energy industry.
• P.Eng. registration with APEGA or eligible.
• Strong ability to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering and design team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate and review work programs and manage forecasting to align with project needs.
• Coordinate designer resources and man-hour estimates with the Department Design Lead.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and maintain project schedules and milestones.
• Establish scopes of work, man-hour estimates, schedules and priorities for projects or proposals.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and technical direction on engineering solutions to the team.
