Job summary

Vista Projects in Calgary seeks an Electrical Lead to guide a discipline engineering team through the full life cycle of energy projects, from inception to completion. You will plan work, manage forecasts, and produce weekly progress reports, aligning schedules with project managers and clients.

We require a P.Eng. with 10+ years in electrical engineering within the energy sector, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to lead, mentor, and ensure safety and quality compliance on

Qualifications

• Ten-plus years of progressive experience in electrical engineering and design in the energy industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or applied science; P.Eng. and APEGA registration.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; safety-conscious and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead a discipline engineering team in the design of energy projects from inception to completion.
• Plan, allocate and review work programs; update forecasts weekly.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and maintain project schedules with milestones.
• Establish scopes, man-hour estimates, schedules and priorities for projects.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the discipline team and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure conformance to codes, QA/QMS, and client specifications; review vendor documents.
