Job summary

Vista Projects in Calgary is seeking a Senior Pipeline Design Lead to supervise and guide drafters and designers in piping, CSA or EIC. The role oversees design from inception to completion across energy projects.

You'll lead scheduling, develop scopes of work, mentor staff, ensure quality and compliance with Vista QMS, and coordinate with clients and suppliers. Strong experience with AutoCAD/CADWorx/PDMS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressive experience in facilities engineering and design in the energy industry.
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary design team across piping, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Proficient with major drafting/design software listed.
• Strong knowledge of government regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate and review work programs; update ForecastWeb weekly.
• Prepare weekly project progress reports.
• Update project schedules and manage task status.
• Establish scopes of work, man-hour estimates, and priorities.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the design team.
• Ensure drawings meet Vista and client specifications.
