Job summary

Vista Projects in Calgary is seeking a Lead Civil and Structural Engineer to guide a multi-disciplinary team from concept through delivery on energy projects. You will shape the design approach, oversee schedules, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include leading planning, estimating, and resource allocation, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with clients and suppliers to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Ten-plus years of progressive experience in facilities engineering and design in energy.
• P.Eng. registration with APEGA.
• Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Strong knowledge of codes and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a discipline engineering team from inception to completion.
• Plan, schedule, and manage work programs and forecasts.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and update project schedules.
• Provide guidance on design and delivery of complex projects.
• Review vendor quotations and ensure conformance to requirements.
• Attend status meetings with clients and suppliers.
