My House Design Build Team Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to support the Construction Manager and keep projects moving forward on residential renovations and new construction across the Lower Mainland.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, holds a Red Seal Carpentry Ticket, reads site drawings, and brings own PPE, tools, and a vehicle. Excellent English communication and leadership potential are essential for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Residential Renovation or New Construction experience
• Red Seal Carpentry Ticket
• Clear communication in English
• Own PPE and personal tools

Responsibilities

• Follow site safety rules.
• Complete carpentry tasks: forming, framing, finishing, door/window install, cleanup.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for electrical/painting/plumbing/drywall; understand how these trades come together in a home.
• Read site drawings

Summary:

The primary responsibility for the Lead Carpenter is to support the Construction Manager as requested to keep the project moving forward.

Health & Minimum requirements:

• Healthy & physically fit
• Own PPE and personal tools
• Have your own vehicle to get to and from jobsites all over the lower mainland, and hold a valid BC Driver's License
• Clear communication in the English language and able to follow instructions
• Minimum 10 years of Residential Renovation or New Construction experience required
• Red Seal Carpentry Ticket (Or able to challenge)

General Responsibilities:

1. Follow site safety rules.
2. Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and safely: forming, framing, finishing, door and window install, clean up, and other various carpentry tasks
3. Electrical/painting/plumbing/drywall are all subcontracted out but – you need to have a general understanding of these other trades; and how they work together in “house as a system”
4. Read site drawings
